U.S. President claimed that Washington gave Iran one week to hold funeral and mourning ceremonies for its Supreme Leader, saying the decision was made because “we are good people.”
Speaking during an event marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, Trump also claimed that Iran was eager to negotiate a new agreement following recent tensions between the two countries.
His remarks came as preparations continued in Tehran for the funeral, where delegations from more than 100 countries are expected to attend alongside millions of mourners.
