‘I Have a Thyroid Disease, Yet I Continue to Work Day and Night’, Maryam Nawaz

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz recently shared that she has been dealing with thyroid disease for the past 8-9 months, yet has continued to work tirelessly. Speaking at a Workers’ Convention in London, Maryam revealed that she underwent surgery for her condition in Switzerland last January.

During her speech, she expressed surprise at hearing that some people questioned the availability of quality medical facilities in Pakistan for such treatments. Maryam highlighted that Pakistan has made significant advancements in healthcare and has facilities capable of performing complex medical procedures.
