Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that he will personally teach students in government schools under a new initiative introduced on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Speaking about the plan, the minister said he is excited to spend time in classrooms and interact directly with students. He shared that English and Chemistry are his favourite subjects and expressed his interest in teaching both.
According to Rana Sikandar Hayat, he plans to teach English to primary school students, helping them build strong language skills from an early age. He also intends to teach Chemistry to high school students, where he hopes to make science lessons more engaging and easier to understand.
The education minister said he is not limited to only these two subjects. He added that if schools require support in other areas, he is ready to teach additional subjects whenever needed.
The initiative is designed to strengthen the connection between education leaders and students by bringing senior officials into classrooms. It also aims to motivate students, encourage teachers, and demonstrate the government’s active involvement in improving the education system.
Officials believe that the programme will create a positive learning environment and inspire students by allowing them to learn directly from the province’s education minister. It also reflects the Punjab government’s focus on improving teaching standards and raising the overall quality of education in schools.
