The T20 World Cup is approaching, and cricket fans in India and Pakistan are looking forward to seeing their favourite teams compete in the huge ICC event.
After nearly two and a half years, the arch-rivals will meet in a cricket match. Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, has expressed his confidence in defeating Virat Kohli’s Team India ahead of the much-anticipated match.
Pakistan has failed to win a World Cup match against India in either the 50-over or T20 formats, but Azam believes that the experience of playing multiple games in the UAE in recent years will give his team an advantage. The Pakistan skipper said the International Cricket Council that his team is well familiar with the pitch’s behavior and that the batters will be able to make necessary changes.
“We are well aware of the pressure and high intensity of each game, particularly the first. We’re hoping to win the game and continue our winning streak. We’ve been playing cricket in the UAE for the last three to four years and are very familiar with the conditions.
We know how the wicket will react and how batsmen will have to adapt their strategies. On the day, the match is decided by who plays the best cricket. According to ICC, Babar stated, “If you ask me, we will win.”
