Imam ul haq to Replace Fakhar Zaman in Pakistan Squad for Champions Trophy

The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Event Technical Committee has officially approved Imam-ul-Haq as a replacement for Fakhar Zaman in Pakistan’s squad.

Fakhar Zaman suffered an oblique injury during a recent match, making him unavailable for the tournament. To fill the gap, 29-year-old Imam-ul-Haq, who has played 72 ODIs, has been selected to join the team.

Replacing a player in the squad requires official approval, which has now been granted. The decision was made by the Event Technical Committee, which includes Wasim Khan, Sarah Edgar, Usman Wahla, and Shaun Pollock.

Imam’s addition is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s batting lineup, as the team looks to perform well in the tournament. With his experience and consistency, he brings much-needed stability at the top of the order.

Pakistan’s upcoming matches are crucial, especially with a highly anticipated game against India on the horizon. Losing Fakhar was a setback, but Imam’s inclusion gives the team a fresh chance to rebuild momentum and stay competitive in the tournament.

Fans are eager to see how Imam performs under pressure as he steps into this important role. His ability to anchor the innings and play responsibly will be key to Pakistan’s success.

As the tournament progresses, Pakistan will be looking to make the most of its new squad combination, ensuring a strong campaign in the Champions Trophy 2025.
