Imran Khan shares how barren hills turned green with Billion Tree Tsunami

On Sunday, PM Imran Khan shared a video on his twitter handle, of a hill in the Matta area of Swat expressing how it turned green due to their Billion Tree Tsunami campaign.

PM khan tweeted as, “Matta in Swat – Barren hills turning green. Incredible results from our Billion Tree Tsunami campaign in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. IA, we will leave a clean & green Pakistan for future generations,”.

The “Billion Tree Tsunami” project started by the PTI- government in 2018, that includes adding up trees both by planting & natural restoration.

It is important to mention here that the PM Imran Khan’s Billion Tree Tsunami scheme has gained international admiration after the global environmental organizations called his attempts for a better environment as a role model for other leaders.

The greatest generous action a person can do now, when the entire world is destroyed by the effects of climate change, is to plant a tree. Said the PM khan last year in Aug.

His comments came during a ceremony after the biggest tree plantation push carried out by the government, which should plant 3.5 million trees throughout the country in a day.

The PM said that Pakistan is amongst the top 10 countries that are most negatively affected by climate change.

“It is our collective responsibility to try our best to make the Pakistan a green country for future of our children. These 3.5 million trees are only the beginning; this will be a constant effort,” said the PM.

“These small children I see standing here today, we must do this for their future,” he said.
