Sazgar starts production of BAIC BJ40 Plus in Pakistan

As per the sources, Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has officially announced the production of BAIC BJ40 Turbo in Pakistan and in an event last week, the company exhibited the first locally built CKD unit of its off-roader-jeep. While, booking for the vehicle is anticipated to open very soon.

As about the new BAIC BJ40 Turbo, it looks like jeep Wrangler design wise, but interior is completely redesigned, from traditional to modern.

While about the BAIC BJ40 Turbo engine and Transmission, it comes with 2 different engine options which include 2.0L turbo engines in both petrol and diesel mated with both manual and automatic transmission.

The Jeep includes two drive modes, comprising a sports mode & a snow mode. Also,the company has made a claim that the rooftop of the vehicle is removeable and can be removed from the inside, only in 2 minutes.

Furthermore, Safety features of the car consist of parking brakes, & a 3-view reverse camera. The car also is equipped with a travel control. All these features will be made available in standard variations.

The previous CBU model of the Jeep had a left-hand drive, although the new one is likely to come with a right-hand drive, which is appropriate for the Pakistani drivers.
