In First Foreign Trip, PM Shehbaz Reaches Saudi Arabia

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has started his three-day trip to Saudi Arabia, marking his first international visit since becoming prime minister. Accompanied by federal ministers and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, he arrived by commercial plane. His itinerary includes performing Umrah and praying at Masjid Nabwi Al-Sharif.

During his visit, PM Shehbaz is scheduled to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to discuss mutual interests and regional developments. Talks will cover various projects, and the prime minister will invite the Saudi PM to visit Pakistan.

Bilateral cooperation, especially in sectors like agriculture, will be a focus, with a potential investment of $1 billion in the Reko Diq project. The visit highlights the strong and enduring relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, built on religious and cultural bonds. Both countries are committed to strengthening these ties and promoting economic and investment relations for mutual benefit.
