In Wisden’s current world test XI, Rizwan is the only Pakistani

Mohammad Rizwan, a Pakistani wicketkeeper batsman, has been named as the wicketkeeper for Wisden’s current World Test XI. The squad was chosen by a panel comprising of Wisden managing editor Ben Gardner, online features writer Taha Hashim, and Wisden India editor Aadya Sharma.

“The goal was to construct a squad that could compete anyplace in the globe,” according to the website, “and it was up to the panel to decide on the side’s balance as well as the batting order.”

Wisden named New Zealand captain Kane Williamson as the team’s captain, replacing Rishab Pant with Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan.

“I chose Mohammad Rizwan because he can always be counted on in any situation. He’ll score any type of run you need, and he’s a technical wizard “Ben Gardner penned this piece.
