Indian Army Helicopter Crash Near Azad Kashmir

As per recent news, an Indian army co-pilot died after a Cheetah helicopter crashed near the Line of Control (LoC) in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

Indian media reports said that the crashed rotary-wing plane was on its way to pick up injured border force personnel.

Maj Sankalp Yadav, who was 29 years old, died immediately at the moment; whereas, the other pilot, who is a lieutenant colonel, received some injuries and was taken to the Srinagar hospital.

However, according to the initial reports, the crash chopper ran away upon landing due to bad weather conditions.

Moreover, when the copter lost contact, it had taken off from Sharifabad and was moving towards Dawar.

As per reports, rescue teams have been despatched, and air reconnaissance teams are searching for survivors.
