Indian Plane Makes Emergency Landing in karachi

An incident occurred involving an Indian passenger plane, SpiceJet’s flight SG 15, which was flying from Ahmedabad to Dubai. The situation unfolded when a 27-year-old Indian passenger named Dhruv Dharimesh Kumar on board the aircraft became unconscious due to critically low sugar levels. This incident prompted the pilot to make an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

The flight had taken off from Ahmedabad at 8:38 pm, and approximately 45 minutes into the journey, while flying at an altitude of around 26,000 feet over the Arabian Sea near Karachi, the passenger’s health condition deteriorated.

The pilot, recognizing the severity of the situation, contacted Karachi’s Air Traffic Control seeking permission to land urgently on humanitarian grounds.

The Air Traffic Control in Karachi granted permission, and the Boeing 737 plane touched down at Jinnah International Airport at 9:20 pm.

A medical team from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) was positioned near the runway, ready to provide immediate assistance. CAA doctors attended to the unconscious passenger, offering necessary medical care and medications. Once the passenger’s health stabilized, the airline expressed gratitude to the Civil Aviation Medical team.

The plane was refueled during this time, and at 11 pm, flight SG 15 resumed its journey, departing from Karachi and continuing its route to Dubai.

This incident bears similarities to a previous occurrence on October 14, where another Indian-bound flight had to make an emergency landing in Karachi due to a passenger’s medical emergency.

In that case, the Air India Express flight was en route from Dubai to Amritsar, and the plane landed in Karachi on humanitarian grounds after a passenger experienced a medical emergency. After receiving medical attention and clearance, the flight proceeded to its intended destination.
