The visit was characterized by a series of constructive dialogues, high-level meetings, and cultural exchanges aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation and fostering closer ties.

During the visit, both Iran and Pakistan engaged in comprehensive discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation across a broad spectrum of sectors.

Trade emerged as a prominent topic of discussion, with both sides expressing a mutual desire to enhance bilateral trade volumes and explore new avenues for economic collaboration.

This included exploring opportunities for joint ventures, investment, and trade facilitation measures to boost economic growth and prosperity in both countries.

Connectivity was another key area of focus, with discussions centered on improving transportation links, enhancing regional connectivity, and promoting infrastructure development to facilitate smoother trade flows and people-to-people exchanges.

Efforts were also made to explore potential collaborations in the energy sector, including the development of energy projects, resource sharing, and cooperation in renewable energy initiatives.

President Raisi’s visit was marked by a series of meetings with prominent leaders from Pakistan’s political, military, and civil sectors.

He had the opportunity to engage with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani, and Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

These meetings provided a platform to discuss bilateral issues, exchange views on regional and global developments, and explore opportunities for mutual cooperation and collaboration.

President Raisi was accompanied by a diverse and high-level delegation comprising the foreign minister, cabinet members, senior government officials, and representatives from the business community.

This multi-sectoral delegation underscored the importance and breadth of the bilateral relationship between Iran and Pakistan and facilitated meaningful engagements across different sectors and levels of government.

The delegation’s itinerary was comprehensive, spanning across major cities in Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.

This extensive tour allowed President Raisi and his delegation to engage with various stakeholders, including provincial leaders, business communities, and cultural organizations, thereby providing a holistic view of the bilateral relationship and the potential areas for collaboration and partnership.

President Raisi’s visit also included several cultural and historical engagements aimed at highlighting the rich cultural heritage and shared history between Iran and Pakistan.

During his visit to Lahore, President Raisi paid homage to Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a renowned poet and philosopher who played a pivotal role in the independence movement of Pakistan.
