Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to begin a three-country regional tour that will take him to Pakistan, Oman, and Russia, as part of Tehran’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to address rising tensions in the region and work toward a lasting resolution to the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel.
Leading a high-level delegation, Araghchi will depart from Tehran and first arrive in Islamabad, before continuing his visits to Muscat and Moscow. He described the trip as a “timely tour,” noting that it aims to strengthen bilateral relations with key regional partners while also providing an opportunity to hold in-depth consultations on important political and security developments.
The visit comes shortly after his recent meetings in Pakistan, where he held discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir. These engagements focused on enhancing cooperation and exchanging perspectives on the evolving regional situation. Iran has continued to emphasize diplomacy, highlighting the importance of dialogue, regional coordination, and collective efforts to reduce tensions and support ongoing ceasefire discussions.
