Ishaq Dar, the federal minister of finance and revenue, has ordered Capital Development Authority (CDA) staff to expedite the completion of housing projects for Pakistanis living abroad.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, Dar presided over a meeting on the CDA’s development projects on Saturday at the Finance Division. The discussion examined the status of initiatives, particularly those involving Pakistanis living abroad.
The CDA has started a number of short- and medium-term housing projects for Pakistanis living abroad; one of them is nearing completion and has opened for registration, as participants were informed.
Dar “emphasized the importance of overseas Pakistanis in the country’s economic and financial development and directed CDA authorities to expedite and early execute housing projects for overseas Pakistanis while adhering to international standards and transparency through the online system,” according to the statement.
The finance minister also directed officials to provide maximum facilities in these projects in order to attract Pakistan’s overseas investment.
