The Islamabad-Kashmir Highway has been closed due to the New Zealand Team’s travel route. The situation is deteriorating as additional security measures are implemented to ensure safety. The Pakistan-New Zealand series has been cancelled because to security concerns.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) claimed in a statement that New Zealand Cricket notified the board that they had been alerted of some security alert and had unilaterally opted to postpone the series.
In a speech to Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand Prime Minister, the Pakistan Cricket Board told her that Pakistan was “one of the best intelligence systems in the world and there was no security concern of any sort” to its visiting team.
