Islamabad Traffic Police Launch ‘Mechanic On Wheels’ Roadside Service

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has launched its “Mechanic on Wheels” service to help motorists facing vehicle problems on roads across the federal capital. The service operates under the slogan, “Where your car stops, help arrives.”

Motorists can use the service for issues such as flat tyres, battery problems, mechanical and electrical faults, fuel shortages, and other minor roadside emergencies. Trained mechanics are sent to the vehicle’s location to provide on-site assistance, helping drivers avoid long waits and unsafe roadside situations.

The service is available through the Islamabad Traffic Police helpline 1915. Citizens can follow these steps:

  • Call 1915 when the vehicle breaks down.
  • Share your exact location with the helpline operator.
  • Explain the vehicle problem to help the team prepare.
  • Wait safely while the mechanic is sent to the location.

The initiative aims to make road travel safer and provide quicker support during unexpected vehicle emergencies.

This service is particularly useful for motorists who face sudden breakdowns while travelling through Islamabad.
