Isr@el Spent Billions to Sabotage Islamabad Peace Talks: US Vice President

US Vice President JD Vance has claimed that some members of the Israeli government tried to influence American opinion against a possible peace deal with Iran. He spoke about this during a podcast interview.

Vance said certain Israeli groups worked to derail negotiations held in Islamabad, Pakistan. These talks aimed to end the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran. According to reports, the United States and Iran came close to an agreement in April, but a late message from Israel reportedly changed the situation.

The Vice President defended America’s diplomatic efforts. He stressed that Iran must not develop nuclear weapons. At the same time, he said US policy decisions should focus on American interests first. Vance later criticized some Israeli reactions to a US-Iran memorandum of understanding, calling it a “freakout” and reminding them of the strong alliance between the two countries.

These remarks show growing differences between the US and Israel over how to handle Iran. While the US pushes for diplomacy to bring stability to the region, Israel has concerns about security threats.
