As per a notice published by PCAA., the main runway at Jinnah International Airport will remain partially closed for the next month.
The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has issued a notification that the airstrip will be partially closed for 2 hours 5 days a week from March 1 to March 31.
Further, the notification stated that all planes will be redirected to the alternate runway for take-offs and landings.
According to PCAA officials, the aim of the closure is to clear the runway of tyre rubber that sticks to it during landings and takeoffs.
However, the runway at Jinnah International Airport will be closed from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
