A viral controversy has emerged at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences following reports that Dr. Hammad Azhar, the son of the vice chancellor, secured first position in 15 subjects and was awarded 15 gold medals during the recent convocation ceremony. The claim has drawn significant attention after a video from the event circulated widely on social media.
The footage has sparked a debate online regarding merit, fairness, and transparency in the university’s award system. While some users have raised concerns about possible favoritism and questioned the credibility of the results, others have advised caution, suggesting that an official clarification should be awaited before forming conclusions.
As of now, the university has not released any statement in response to the circulating claims. The convocation ceremony itself saw more than 1,700 students receive their degrees and also highlighted the institution’s academic progress and collaborations.
