Karachi Experiences Season’s Lowest Temperature at 8.9°C

Karachi recorded its coldest night of the season on Sunday, with temperatures dropping to 8.9°C. Areas like Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Shahrah-e-Faisal also experienced chilly weather, with temperatures recorded at 10.5°C and 11.5°C, respectively.

The city is currently experiencing cold and dry weather, with daytime temperatures expected to reach around 27°C. Cold winds blowing in from Balochistan have made the weather feel even colder for residents.

However, despite the cool temperatures, Karachi’s air quality remains a concern. The city recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 183, which is considered unhealthy.

While Karachi is feeling the chill, northern parts of Pakistan are facing even more extreme weather conditions. In Leh, temperatures have plummeted to -13°C, while Quetta recorded a freezing -6°C. A severe cold wave is gripping the northern regions, and weather experts predict that the icy conditions will continue across the country in the coming days.

Residents in Karachi are advised to take precautions, particularly during the early morning and nighttime hours when temperatures are at their lowest. The ongoing cold wave serves as a reminder of the importance of staying warm and monitoring air quality levels, especially for those with respiratory conditions.

As the cold weather continues, citizens are urged to stay updated on weather forecasts and take necessary steps to protect themselves during this chilly season.
