Karachi’s traffic authorities have introduced a comprehensive traffic management plan to facilitate smooth movement during the Youm-e-Ali procession on the 13th of Rajab. The procession, marking the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali (R.A), will begin at 4 pm and will cause road closures in several key parts of the city.
MA Jinnah Road will be closed from Tibet Centre to Guru Mandir, along with the surrounding streets. Shahrah-e-Qaideen will also be blocked from the Khudadad signal, though the bridge connecting Khudadad to Saddar will remain operational.
Motorists traveling on Bahadur Yar Jang Road towards Tower are advised to take alternative routes via Soldier Bazar No 1 Signal, Coast Guard, and Anklesaria Hospital Signal. For those heading from Shahrah-e-Qaideen towards Naumaish Chowrangi or MA Jinnah Road, diversions via Ayesha Aziz Chowrangi to PP Chowrangi are suggested.
Commuters coming from Society Light Signal should follow the route from Khudadad Colony Bridge to Empress Market.
People traveling from Fresco towards Naumaish Chowrangi are recommended to take the Eidgah Chowk route through Jubilee and Nishtar Road or alternatively, from Tibet Centre to Regal Chowk.
Additionally, vehicles traveling from Fawara Chowk to Garden Nishtar Road should proceed via Abdullah Haroon Road. Drivers at Paradise Signal can choose to either go left towards the Passport Office or right to Empress Market.
Those traveling from Garden Baghicha to Aga Khan III Road are advised to take the Anklesaria route to Gul Plaza and Tibet Chowk. This carefully planned traffic diversion will help reduce congestion and ensure smooth flow during the event.
Karachi residents are encouraged to plan their routes ahead of time and follow the guidance from the traffic authorities to avoid delays and ensure a hassle-free journey during this important occasion.
