The well-known biryani restaurant ‘Farhan Biryani Center’ in Karachi has been sealed by the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) for alleged violation of the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act, 2011. The sealing was carried out today, July 21, 2023, in compliance with the order issued by the competent authority.
The business premises of ‘Farhan Biryani Center,’ situated at Plot # D-56, Block # 12, Gulistan-e-Johar Pehlwan Goth Road in Karachi, has been closed off due to non-compliance with the tax regulations. The restaurant’s SNTN (Sales Tax Registration Number) is listed as S3546995-1.
The sealing of the establishment serves as a consequence for the reported violation of the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act. As per the issued order, the restaurant will remain closed until further notice.
The Sindh Revenue Board has sternly warned against any attempts to tamper with the seal or unauthorized opening of the business premises. Any such actions will be subject to penal action, which may include filing a First Information Report (FIR) against the violators.
