Khawaja Asif has called for a complete ban on the so-called “Vigo Dala culture” in parliament, terming it harmful to democratic values and political transparency. Speaking during a parliamentary session, he criticized the use of unmarked vehicles and unofficial security protocols around lawmakers, saying such practices create fear and distance between elected representatives and the public.
He stressed that parliament should remain a symbol of openness and accountability, not intimidation. Khawaja Asif urged all political parties to support measures that would end the trend, adding that democratic institutions must operate with trust, accessibility, and respect for constitutional norms.
