King Salman to Host 1,000 Umrah Pilgrims from Around the World

King Salman’s decision to welcome 1,000 Umrah pilgrims worldwide in 2024 through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program marks a significant and generous initiative fostering unity among Muslims globally. Managed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, the program reflects the commitment of Saudi Arabia to facilitate religious practices and strengthen ties within the Muslim community.

Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, expressed gratitude towards the King and Crown Prince for their endorsement of this program. He emphasized the program’s importance in promoting unity, as it brings together influential Islamic figures, scholars, and intellectuals from around the world to perform Umrah and pray at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

The Minister lauded the ongoing support from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, highlighting its dedicated efforts in serving Islam, spreading its values, and actively combating extremism. This demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to nurturing a moderate and inclusive interpretation of Islam, countering radical ideologies.
