Kohat Cement Plans a New Plant with Production Capacity of 10,000 Tons a Day

According to the sources, the cement demand has been increasing and seen upsurge amid support of the government to the construction industry; however, now another major player has planned to build a new plant in order to enhance the production capacity of cement by 10,000 tons per day by investing an amount of about Rs.30 billion.

Kohat Cement Company’s, board of directors has also approved a setting that is up of 7,800 to 10,000 tons per day cement manufacturing plant with a 8 to 10 megawatts of the waste heat recovery along with a 25 megawatts of the coal-fired power plant that is in Khushab, Punjab.

The company has also said in a filing with stock exchange that, “The estimated cost of this entire project is about Rs.30 billion that would be financed via a mix of debt as well as the equity. It is expected that construction and the installation of the plant will be completed in about 2 to 2.5 years.”

Moreover, it has been revealed that the total cement dispatches are at 28.6 million tons as during the first half of this current fiscal year.
