Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, and Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, have forged friendship city connections.
A notice has been issued in this regard by Guangzhou’s municipal foreign affairs office.
Both towns will conduct friendly exchanges in the economy, trade, culture and tourism, science and technology, and education, to name a few areas, according to the memorandum of understanding of expanded cooperation between the two cities.
So far, 99 cities from 65 nations have formed friendship city relations with the Chinese city.
