Pakistan will surpass $3.5 billion IT exports target ‘by next year’

Syed Aminul Haq, the Federal Minister of Information Technology, stated that Pakistan hopes to reach the $3.5 billion objective for IT exports by December 2022.

The announcement comes as the country’s IT exports increased by 39.26% to $380 million in the first four months (July-October) of fiscal year 2021-22, compared to $586 million the previous year.

“Net exports for the period July-October FY2021-22 are US$ 630 million, or 75.9% of total exports of US$ 830 million.” “For the same period last year, net exports were US$ 423 million, or 70.97 percent of total exports of US$ 596 million,” the IT ministry posted on Twitter.
