The CEO of Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has suggested promoting Olympian javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem to Grade 19. Nadeem started working at Lesco in 2011 as a sportsman in Grade 7 and has since been promoted to Grade 18 due to his outstanding performance.
The proposal for his promotion will be reviewed by the board of directors on Monday. If approved, this would be a historic moment for Lesco, as it would be the first time a sportsman has been promoted to Grade 19 in the company’s history.
Arshad Nadeem, who is currently serving as a line foreman at the Bhati Gate sub-division, could see his position change significantly. The promotion would reclassify him as an assistant manager, reflecting his dedication and success both as an athlete and in his role at Lesco.
This proposed promotion not only recognizes Nadeem’s contributions to sports but also highlights his commitment and growth within the company over the years.
