On Wednesday, Indian motorcycle manufacturer TVS Motor introduced its electric two-wheeler in the UAE market. The electric scooter, named TVS X, has been priced at Rs 249,990 (approximately Dh 11,120).
The launch event of the TVS X was showcased on the iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
Sudarshan Venu, the managing director of TVS Motor, emphasized the importance of reducing carbon footprint in the face of climate change. He mentioned that the mobility sector is taking steps to address these concerns, especially considering the impact of climate change on global populations.
Venu noted that India is the world’s fastest-growing economy and the largest market for two-wheelers. He highlighted the government’s initiatives to promote investments in electric vehicles and the growing global demand for EVs.
TVS Motor had previously launched its first electric scooter, the iQube, in 2020, which has gained popularity and a satisfied customer base in just three years.
“In three years, it has become one of the leading brands, with hundreds of thousands of delighted customers. And the future is even more promising,” Venu expressed.
