As part of “Aam Log, Khaas Kahaniyan Season 2,” MARIA.B invited people across Pakistan to share stories of the country’s unseen heroes. From the entries received, four inspiring stories were selected, and MARIA.B CARES FOUNDATION has stepped forward to support their missions.
Rawa Khan: Changing Lives Through Education
In Khati Pahadi, Karachi, many families who migrated from Balochistan face tough choices between feeding their children and sending them to school. Rawa Khan solved this by providing food and support equal to what a child would earn through work, so children can attend school instead. Her school currently teaches up to Grade 3, with plans to expand. MARIA.B CARES FOUNDATION is now supporting the initiative’s growth.

Arab Shah: A Ride Towards Education
In Peshawar, Arab Shah’s own sisters could not finish school because it was too far from home. Since 2014, he has run a free pick and drop service for girls, using just one rickshaw and one van, so they can safely reach school and college. MARIA.B CARES FOUNDATION is adding a new vehicle to his fleet to help him reach even more girls.
Sohail Sisters: Carrying Pakistan’s Dreams
The Sohail Sisters, four gold medal-winning weightlifters, have represented Pakistan on international stages despite limited federation resources, often working other jobs to fund their own travel. MARIA.B CARES FOUNDATION is now sponsoring the sisters so they can focus fully on their championship journey.

Ehsam and Natasha: Turning Young Ideas Into Reality
In Gilgit, engineers Ehsam and Natasha founded Makeistan, a space where students can bring any idea and get the tools and support to build it, from robots to new technology. They plan to extend creative and tech-based learning to students from Grades 3 and 4. MARIA.B CARES FOUNDATION has joined as a co-sponsor to help build a dedicated lab at a community run school in Gulmit for more young minds to experiment and create.
Through “Aam Log, Khaas Kahaniyan,” MARIA.B CARES FOUNDATION celebrates these unseen heroes and stands beside them as they continue their work. Because the true spirit of independence lives not only in the freedom we celebrate, but in what we do with it for others.
