Mass Transit System To Be Launched In Islamabad

Based on the 2017 national census, the Federal Commission has recently decided to launch a mass transit system for travel in Islamabad.

This work will determine the routes and number of buses needed for the under construction mass transportation system.

According to the Federal Commission’s tenth meeting, the Statistics Division will appoint a focal person to provide pertinent information about the 2017 census in the federal capital to the Federal Commission and the Planning Commission, which was presided over by Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Amer Ali Ahmed.

Further, it was agreed that approval for additional floors will not be limited to a few locations, but will be applied uniformly throughout the federal capital.

However, the final decision will be delayed until more data, analysis, and parking spaces are available.
