Massive Increase in Gold Prices in Pakistan, Reaching to Rs. 287,450

Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on January 22, 2025. The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 4,250, reaching Rs 287,450 per tola, up from Rs 283,200 the day before. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs 3,642, now standing at Rs 246,440.

Silver prices also saw a rise, with the rate per tola increasing by Rs 59 to reach Rs 3,431.

Globally, gold prices climbed to a two-month high due to a weaker U.S. dollar and uncertainty surrounding U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade policies. This increase in the international market influenced the rise in gold prices within Pakistan as well.

The surge highlights the connection between global market trends and local gold prices, as changes in international conditions often impact the rates in Pakistan. With gold continuing to serve as a safe investment during uncertain times, many investors are turning to the precious metal for stability.

This price hike reflects both international market movements and local demand, marking a significant change in Pakistan’s gold market.
