May Snowfall in Kalam Breaks 30 Years’ Record

According to locals, Kalam, a region in Pakistan, experienced snowfall in May, breaking a 30-year-old record. This unexpected winter weather also brought rainfall and hailstorms to other areas of Swat.

Kalam received 17mm of precipitation, while upper areas reported snowfall. Dry weather is expected in most plains of the country, but rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are forecasted for upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded in Rawalakot, Kalam, Malam Jabba, Hafizabad, Joharabad, Chakwal and Mangla. Meanwhile, temperautures reached 42 degrees Celsius in certain areas
