Mehran Express is handed up to a private enterprise by the railways

Under a public-private partnership, Pakistan Railways handed over the Mehran Express train to a private logistical business on Monday. According to a news release released on Monday, the train that runs between Karachi and Mirpurkhas has been handed over to RAAS Logistics.

A ceremony was performed at Karachi City Railway Station in this regard. Muhammad Hanif Gul, Divisional Superintendent, Pakistan Railways Karachi, was the chief guest on the occasion. All of the Divisional Officers as well as the owners of RAAS Logistics were in attendance. The RAAS Logistics Company would pay Railways Rs. 92 million per year for the train. The train has seven carriages with a total seating capacity of 630 passengers.
