MG Pakistan is getting ready to introduce more electric vehicles (EVs) in the country. They have announced two new variants, the MG ZS EV latest generation and MG HS EV, to join the MG HS in their lineup. These EVs will be part of their “alternative energy vehicles” plan and will be brought to Pakistan as Completely Built-Up (CBU) units.
Automakers are taking advantage of the opportunity after the opening of Letters of Credit (LCs), which had previously caused disruptions and delays in the manufacturing process and affected purchasing power.
While the company has not yet disclosed the specifications, features, launching date, and price details of the new EVs, MG Motors in Pakistan is committed to promoting energy vehicles as part of their green policy. This includes plug-in hybrid vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and fully electric vehicles. Their existing MG electric vehicle has been well-received in the local market, and now they aim to expand their EV lineup with the success of MG HS EV.
The Government of Pakistan’s Friendly Electric Vehicle Policy encourages local car manufacturers to produce EVs in the country, aiming to reduce reliance on conventional fuel.
