MG’s First Lahore-Based Assembly Plant Will Be Inaugurated Very Soon: Javed Afridi

Despite the long delivery delays and the fact that the SUV is still available as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU), which probably adds to the vehicle’s cost, MG claims to have sold thousands of units across Pakistan.

According to reports, MG intends to build two assembly factories in Pakistan, each of which will be capable of domestically constructing Electric Vehicles (EVs) for the Pakistani market.

The news was shared by Javed Afridi, a key stakeholder in MG Pakistan, who also stated in an interview with a UAE-based mainstream media outlet that the first assembly plant is expected to open “very soon” and that his company is planning to build a second EV assembly plant in Karachi to cater to exports to markets that require right-handed E-Vs.
