Mohammad Amir Clarifies Statement About Babar Azam’s Batting in T20

Mohammad Amir gave a statement about Babar Azam prior to PSL 8th edition that bowling to Babar Azam is same as tailender batter. He further said that he is focused only on one job and that is to take a wicket. The statement was sensed as controversial by cricket and Babar Azam’s fans.

Lately, Mohammad Amir clarifies his statement and said that there is a mutual understanding between both, “First of all, Babar is not my ex-fiancé that I won’t like him,”.

Amir further said, “Babar is playing for five years and we never had a heated argument”.

He also stated that those who gave a wrong direction to his statement, he can only pray for their guidance.

“I have always said that he is a great batter in Tests and ODIs. In T20s, I have a different opinion related to him. As a bowler, I don’t see Babar as threatening in T20 format,” Amir shared.

He also clarified the statement through the YouTube channel saying,

“In all my interviews, I have called him the best batsman of Pakistan, which I am saying with my own mouth, and have said in many places, that it is difficult to bowl against him in ODI and Test matches due to his technique. So, would I call him a tailender? Let me make it clear to these people,”
