Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated a new Command, Control, Communication and Coordination Centre for Islamabad Police on 8 September, 2026. The facility is designed to improve police monitoring, coordination and response across the federal capital.
The new centre will allow the Inspector General of Islamabad Police to monitor Safe City operations, police activities and the overall law and order situation from a central platform. Major operational systems, including Safe City services, field force monitoring and emergency response, have been connected to the new system.
According to officials, the centre will use artificial intelligence and other technology-based systems to support faster decision-making and improve police response times. During emergencies, officers will be able to receive information quickly and issue instructions to relevant teams.
Naqvi said the new facility would also strengthen communication between different police units and improve monitoring of officers working in the field.
The minister said protecting citizens, improving police performance and maintaining law and order remain key priorities for the government.
