More Than 60 Domestic and International Flights Cancelled Due to Unstable Situation in Pakistan

The political unrest following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan resulted in violent protests nationwide. Due to roads blockage more than 60 international and domestic flights were cancelled, people from different parts of the country were unable to reach the airport.

The domestic flights to Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore have been cancelled. While international flights to Jeddah, Muscat, Baghdad, Madinah, Dubai, Riyadh, and Baku have also been cancelled. Moreover, due to the internet outage people could not be informed and the situation became highly uncertain. Many passengers had to go back after arriving at the airport.

The situation has settled down now, passengers must consult their respective airlines about the rescheduling of flights.
