Morocco Files Official Protest With FIFA about Semi-Final Referee

France ended Morocco’s FIFA World Cup dream in the semi-finals on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Now, Morocco has lodged a complaint to FIFA regarding Cesar Ramos’ refereeing performance during the semi-final match against France.

Following their 2-0 defeat against France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar semi-final, Morocco’s football federation has filed a protest with the governing body regarding the refereeing of the match.

As per Khaleej Times, the official statement by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) reads, “The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) strongly protested against the arbitration of the Morocco-France match officiated by Mr. Cesar Arturo Ramos.”

The football federation has stated that it will spare no effort to defend and preserve the rights of the National Selections and call for fairness by denouncing the decisions that were taken during the semi-final match against France.

Now, Morocco will face Croatia on Saturday, December 17, 2022, for the third-place play-off.
