Motorway Police now Charge fees for M-Tag Registration, following a free-of-Charge Policy

Attention highway users: acquiring an M-Tag sticker for your car is no longer free. Vehicle owners who desire an M-Tag would have to pay Rs. 200 for registration, according to an NHMP official.

The fee will take effect on January 1, 2022, according to the official, who also stated that the FWO is in charge of the highway monetary system and that the money will be paid to the authorities.

The official went on to say that the person needed to have at least Rs. 500 for the new sticker. The registration fee is Rs. 200 (as previously indicated) and the balance fee is Rs. 300, the official revealed.

The M-Tag was declared required for highway travel by the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) last month. In a tweet, the police said, “The sticker is now absolutely obligatory on motorways.”

The authorities went on to state that they were prepared to carry out directives issued by the Lahore High Court (LHC) with the assistance of citizens.

Beginning December 7th, 2021, only M-Tag travellers will be permitted on the highways, the police added.
