During the second T20I match against New Zealand at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan reached an impressive milestone.
In just his 79th T20I innings, Rizwan became the quickest player ever to score 3,000 runs in T20I cricket, beating the records of Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, who both achieved this feat in 81 innings.
At 31 years old, Rizwan also became the second Pakistani cricketer to surpass the 3,000-run mark in T20I cricket. The only other Pakistani player to achieve this milestone is Babar Azam, who has scored a total of 3,712 runs in T20I matches.
