Muharram-ul-Haram Expected to Begin on June 17 in Pakistan

Pakistan is likely to observe the beginning of Muharram-ul-Haram on June 17, according to initial astronomical forecasts, marking the start of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH. The final announcement, however, will depend on the sighting of the Muharram moon and the official decision of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

Muharram is one of the four sacred months in Islam and holds great religious significance for Muslims around the world. The month marks the beginning of a new Islamic year and is observed with devotion, reflection, and remembrance.

If the moon is sighted as predicted, Muslims across Pakistan will welcome 1448 AH on June 17, while preparations for religious gatherings and observances associated with the holy month are expected to begin across the country.
