Multan International Airport has set a new daily record by handling 37 flights in one day. This is the highest number of flight operations the airport has ever managed in 24 hours.
According to the latest schedule, 18 flights arrived at Multan while 19 flights departed. The increase shows growing air traffic and better connectivity for passengers in southern Punjab.
Across Pakistan, 449 flights operated during the same period. Karachi handled the most with 135 flights, followed by Islamabad with 118 and Lahore with 105. Other airports such as Peshawar, Sialkot and Faisalabad recorded fewer operations.
While Multan achieved this milestone, some disruptions still occurred. Eight flights at Multan faced delays and three were cancelled. Nationwide, 68 flights were cancelled and 112 experienced delays lasting several hours.
The record reflects rising demand and the expanding role of Multan Airport as an important hub for the region.
