Muneeba Ali Becomes First Pakistani Batter to Score a Hundred in Women’s T20I

Muneeba Ali Siddiqui makes history by becoming the first Pakistani to score a century in women’s T20Is! Wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba Ali has become the sixth woman to do it in T20 World Cups.

Muneeba Ali Siddiqui hit a century to help Pakistan reach 165/5 against Ireland at Newlands in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Left-handed opener Muneeba Ali hit the first century of the Women’s T20 World Cup and the first ever by a Pakistani woman when she made 102 against Ireland at Newlands in Cape Town on Wednesday.

Although Muneeba had played 44 Twenty20 internationals without scoring a half-century, however in a one-day match against the same opponents in Lahore in November of last year, she had reached the century mark. A third-wicket partnership of 101 was shared by Muneeba and veteran player Nida Dar (33).
