The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has recently begun registering orphan children in the country.
A Nadra team, led by Director General retired Maj Saqlain Abbas Bokhari, visited the SOS Village on Saturday and registered the chipdren. CNICs were also granted to children aged 18 and up.
According to Nadra, all children in orphanages will be registered by the year 2021. The move was made to help orphaned children and children whose parents are divorced, according to the statement.
Mr Saqlain Abbas Bokhari met with the children at the SOS Village and listened to their concerns about Nadra registration.
He stated that registering orphan children with Nadra will enable them in achieving their goals and eliminate problems with finding work and other associated issues. At the institution, he also deployed a special Nadra mobile van.
