A woman has been appointed as SHO of the railway police in Lahore for the first time. Nausheen Kanwal has been posted as SHO at railway police station Mughalpura, said SP Railways Maaz Zafar to the media.
The initiative to increase the participation of female officers in field assignments is unprecedented.
It will enhance the self-confidence of female police officers, and their abilities to perform in the field will also be gauged, according to SP Railways’s Maaz Zafar.
