Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been appointed as the Chairman of the Lahore Heritage Area Revival Board with immediate effect, according to a notification issued by the Punjab government.
The board has been formed under the Punjab Walled Cities and Heritage Areas Authority Act, 2012, after receiving approval from the Punjab Governor. As chairman, Nawaz Sharif will oversee efforts to protect, restore, and improve Lahore’s historic sites and heritage areas.
