The National Information Technology Board (NITB) has signed an agreement with the National College of Arts to introduce the E-office suite at NCA Lahore and NCA Islamabad.
NITB created the E-office app to help government agencies go paperless by implementing electronic administration and to ensure effectiveness and accountability in different government functional areas. The app is designed to be a digital replacement for the existing inefficient ways of managing files and documents.
The government agreed to activate the E-system across all 31 ministries that work under the government in order to digitize governance processes in all government agencies, a process that is still underway.
However, only the MoITT (Ministry of Information Technology), PSEB (Pakistan Software Export Board), the Board of Investment, and the NITB have achieved level 4, with no government entity having yet achieved level 6.
