New Dinosaur Species Discovered in Spain

Scientists have discovered fossil fragments in Spain that indicate the presence of a new type of dinosaur. They have identified a new species of spinosaurid based on the study of these fossils, which include a jaw bone, a tooth, and five vertebrae.

The fossils were found in Castellon, Spain, in 2011 and were recently described in a scientific publication. Spinosaurs are known for their large size and walking on two legs. They are also typically meat-eating dinosaurs.

The fossils are estimated to be from a period around 127 to 126 million years ago. Based on the remains, the researchers believe this dinosaur was about 10 to 11 meters long, roughly equivalent to 32 to 36 feet.
